Responsibilities You will be responsible for performing safe and efficient moves of containers or chassis between different locations within the terminal and load/unload trailers on railcars in order to contribute to optimal operations. Duties include: • Drive a shunt truck for pin to pin moves for chassis or chassis with containers, transferring freight between terminal locations in order to contribute to the smooth operation; • Back trailers into designated areas as requested; • Perform circle checks to make sure trailers are fit to move on highway; • Perform and document daily pre-trip inspections of the shunt truck; • Perform other tasks contributing to the smooth operation of the facility; • Submit or receive information to or from the dispatcher using the proper communication equipment. Specific Requirements • Valid driver’s license (AZ license is preferred but not required) and clean driving record (essential); • Relevant experience driving tractor trailers; • Class 1 driver license or relevant experience; • Safety oriented. Average Pay: STarting rate $18.68 – $19.74/hour. Night shift premium of $1/hour. 6 montha dn 1 year wage increases. Top rate of $20.65/hour.
